Florence, KY—July 10, 2007—BlueStar, the leading innovator in solutions-based distribution
for Auto ID, Point-of-Sale, Mobility and RFID products, is announcing its distribution of SATO’s new RFID-ready GL4e series of printers for medium-duty industrial applications.
The new GL4e printer provides extensive support to encoding Class 1 GEN 2 RFID tags. It uses the latest in near-field antenna technology to encode precisely to the position on the label that guarantees optimum read performance.
The GL4e RFID-ready series allows users to economically print barcode labels now, while in the future seamlessly incorporating RFID-encoding capabilities as needs change.
SATO’s new GL4e also offers a field-upgradeable UHF RFID option; a SATOnet CONNECT
printer-management utility tool option that allows users to control printers remotely; USB 2.0 plus LAN; the ability to switch between 203 dpi and 305 dpi (GL412e) print resolution; and an Online Barcode Verifier option that validates barcode scanability at point of print.
“BlueStar is elated to carry the new RFID-ready SATO GL4e printer series. It allows users to economically print barcode labels while planning for the incorporation of RFID capabilities in the future,” says Steve Cuntz, BlueStar’s President/CEO.
“The new GL4e series represents yet another example of SATO’s leadership position in the
barcode and RFID printing market,” adds Robert Linse, president of SATO America. “We
continue to develop exciting new products based on our customers’ needs, and the GL4e series demonstrates our commitment to ‘leading the way’ in cost-effective printing solutions.”
