Computer System Services recently signed a deal with D.I.D Electrical, to provide their new branches with a fully integrated Point of Sale solution as a means of enhancing their customer centric business. The equipment has been rolled out in two new branches to date and the formula will continue in the future to provide continuity throughout the organisation.
D.I.D Electrical is Ireland’s premier electrical retailer and have successfully opened 14 stores over the thirty nine years of trading across Leinster. The aim of the technology upgrade, that included the Posiflex Jiva point of sale terminal, was to improve in store customer experience, allow staff greater access to stock information and to speed up the process at the point of sale.
POS equipment, now a necessary part of Computer Systems Services business was chosen to be installed throughout the stores. The technology is being used cleverly as it is positioned at the end of multiple shopping aisles throughout the store giving staff easy access to stock information such as stock levels, pricing and alternative products. The latest touch screen technology and scanning equipment has allowed the company to give customers a more efficient service and staff the opportunity to sell more. It also allows staff to continue the all important interaction with the customer while looking up their query as they wait.
“The solution fits our requirements perfectly. Staff have access to all stock information at the click of a button and we are better equipped to service our customers more efficiently” Thomas Collier IT Manager.
As D.I.D Electrical have expanded in the electrical goods market, having the right IT in store has become paramount to the successful growth of the company. DID Electrical originally procured a full kit out for their new branch on the Malahide Rd, Artane, Dublin with the supported accessories; Metrologic Scanners, Epson printers and Datamini keyboards, distributed in Ireland by PC Cubed. The full solution will be rolled out in a total of 3 stores by year end and will be managed by Computer System Services, their solution provider.
