Muratec, the multifunction specialist company, is launching a new advertising campaign based around the theme ‘Love Your Multifunction’. The new ad campaign breaks with traditional office equipment advertising by emphasising the ease of use of Muratec multifunctionals, rather than the performance data. The campaign tag line ‘Multifunction Made Easy’ reflects this.
The campaign has been devised by DNA Media Services, following a brief from Muratec to promote the company’s two latest multifunctionals, the MFD-2200 and MFD-2700. Both new systems have a number of innovative features for easy use including Voice Guidance providing audible user prompts for multi step operations such as entering speed dials and clearing paper misfeeds. There is also a large display panel allowing touch screen operation of some functions for easy operation and maximum productivity.
The new generation of Muratec multifunctionals are the product of the company’s groundbreaking Usability Improvement (UI) programme for the development of more user-friendly devices through ergonomic analysis of customer usage.
The campaign will run in key office equipment and IT publications until mid 2008. Commenting on the ‘Love Your Multifunction’ campaign, Stewart Carroll, General Manager of Muratec Europe (UK) said, “Our customers are not so focused on output speeds as on the ease with which they can use a multifunctional. If the machine makes it easy to copy, print, scan or fax a document they will find it more productive than a device with a faster print speed. Ease of use is what the latest generation of Muratec multifunctionals provides and the campaign devised by DNA Media Services reflects those benefits.”
