Reigate, UK, 10 March 2008. Trident has introduced a new compact high-speed digital thermal printer with a small footprint and plug-and-play installation, presenting an ideal solution for integrating into existing hardware such as kiosk terminals, ensuring the quickest possible time to market.
The Seiko APU-9347 printer from Trident includes a printer mechanism, auto-cutter, controller board and cabling in one unit sized just 165.15(W) x 301.25(D) x 177(H) mm excluding protrusion. Plug-and-play installation together with features such as a range of pre-installed standard and two-dimensional barcodes simplifies system integration, and a page mode gives deployers a free layout of printed data. Serial and USB interfaces are available with the corresponding drivers for WIN 2000 and WIN XP.
A print speed of up to 200m/sec and a resolution of 8 dots/mm produce clear and precise print-outs in vending machines, kiosks, ATMs and other rugged self-service applications. The service life of 1,000,000 cuts, minimum of 150 km total printing and a paper sensor which enables the unit to load the paper automatically ensure a high quality, reliable, durable and maintenance-free technology. The paper roll holder can accommodate up to 10 inch diameter rolls in a range of thicknesses for economical printing and rapid delivery of receipts, tickets and labels.
