Buying Solutions and Scalable Software announce new Memorandum of Understanding for Tooling to Support PSA09

London, UK, 21st September 2009: Buying Solutions, and Scalable Software, have established a Memorandum of Understanding for the provision of Scalable’s Survey™ product to support the implementation of the recently announced PSA09 agreement between the public sector and Microsoft. In addition the agreement supports the use of Survey™ for right-sizing licenses, for the public sector, from all software publishers

Survey™ enables public sector organisations to accurately identify which individuals require which of the various PSA09 packages, and to monitor subsequent use of those packages thus ensuring opportunities for license transfers, as contemplated by PSA09, are capitalized upon. Regardless of whether the software packages are delivered through ‘application virtualisation’ or ‘virtual desktop infrastructure’, the use of Survey™ ensures the public sector can take maximum advantage of the savings made available through PSA09. In addition Survey™ will enable the public sector to right-sizes licenses for software from all its other publishers.
